I came out today to take a look at my newly planted tomato plants. I noticed there is aphids on the plants. So I have a 28 fluid oz. bottle of water. I use 1 tbs olive oil and 1 tbs Dawn dish soap and spray the backsides and all over. The ground and the top of the plant.
It’s good to do this very early in the morning or the evening. You don’t want to do this when there is hot sun. If the hot sun comes out I might shade it. If one tomato plant has it, then they all do. I’ll be going down the row and spray all my tomato plants.
I’ll come back to look at the plants again in a week. If all the bugs are not gone I spray again.
What you need:
- Spray bottle with water
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 tbs Dawn dish soap
*Spray the backsides all over, the ground and the top.
*Check back in a week to see if you need to spray again
