While I was preparing the garden for this season of planting, I got to see at how my soil changed throughout the years. If you’re interested, we show how to build the raised garden boxes, and prepare the soil.

This is the soil you get once the sawdust decomposes. Lots of worms are found digging through the soil. It feels really nice. We deal with so many rocks, that we can’t really have a garden unless it’s in raised boxes.

April 11th is a bit early in Idaho to start a garden, but we have some tips and tricks (like starting plants indoors or covering plants) to extend the garden season a little. And there is also a focus on cold hardy plants.
